Translation of relics.

...ensemble un precis verbal de la translation faite en l'année mil cent soixante et seize, du corps dudit St Mathurin au lieu ou il est maintenant [derriere le grand autel] par un de nos predecesseurs.

...together with a verbal account of the translation made in 1176 of the body of said Saint Mathurin to the place where it is now [behind the high altar] by one of his predecessors.

Verbal testimony by Octave de Bellegards, archbishop of Sens, in 1634, on a visit to Larchant, affirming one of his predecessors had opened a chasse and find a note inside that the relics had been translated in 1176 "to the place where it is now".
