ODO I S. QUIRIACI ABBAS, S. ETIAM JACOBI DICITUR IN CHARTA DONATIONIS FACTAE CANONICUS REGULARIBUS DE ECCLESIA S. JACOBI AB HENRICO TRECENSI COMITE ANNO 1159. ATTAMEN MONASTERII SANCTI JACOBI POSSESSIONEM NON ADIIT, MORTUUS APUD S. QUIRIACUM, UBI HUMATUR IN NAVI ECCLESIAE.

Eudes I, abbot of Saint-Quiriace, and also of Saint-Jacques, it is said in a charter of donation to the regular canons of Saint-Jacques by Henry, count of Troyes in 1159. But nevertheless he was not given to the possession of the monastery of Saint-Jacques, he is buried at Saint-Quiriace in the nave of the church.

It has come to pass through carelessness that the church of Saint-Quiriace at Provins, which was founded for the quiet possession of solitary canons, a violent intrusion of regular canons in that place, which the others have cried out against, but as for handing down judgment...there a farm will be constructed for the work of the church of Saint-Quiriace...

A register commenced in 1350 has a truncated note at the bottom of one page that some construction was carried out in 1238. Maillé, Provins, rejects this date. Branner, "Paris and Rayonnant…", pg. 43, note 1, deems it acceptable.
