Consecration.

ANNO MILLESIMO CENTESIMO OCTAGESIMO...PLACUIT ALTARE QUODDAM QUOD CONSTITUTUM ERAT IN REAEDIFICATIONE TEMPLI, IN HONORUM BEATAE MARIAE VIRGINIS ET SANCTI THOMAE MARTYRIS CONSECRARI.

The year 1180...as previously agreed altars were established in the rebuilt churches, and consecrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the martyr Saint Thomas.

Another text quotes from a lost document ‘L’évêque de Soissons Nivelon (de Cherizy) consecra l’autal Notre Dame et Saint-Thomas dans le TEMPLUM RECONSTRUIT REEDIFICATUS d’Orbais’.

Consecrations.

IN SEQUENTI PLURA ALTARIA MONACHIS CONSIACI CONFIRMAVIT, ALTARE IN HONOREM B. MARIA ET ST THOMAS MARTYRIS IN REAEDIFICATO TEMPLO ORBACENSI DICAVIT, ET CORPUS S. REOLI IN ALIUD VAS PRETIOSUM TRANSTULIT.

Subsequently, it is said that several altars planned by the monks were established, altars in honor of Blessed Mary and Saint Thomas the martyr in the rebuilt church of Orbais, and the body of Saint Reol was translated into another vessel.

On lit dans un mémoire de notre chartier intitulé: Singularités d'Orbaize écrit par un ancien religieux, le vingt-cinquiéme jour de novembre mil six cens neuf...qu'il y avoit quatre cens neuf ans que le corps de cette église avoit été renouvellé par un comte Thibaud.

One reads in a memoire...in our cartulary entitled: Peculiarities of Orbais written by a former religious, the 25th day of November 1609...that 409 years ago the body of this church had been renewed by a Count Thibault.
