RECENTI OPERE VIX COMPLETA ERAT BASILICA QUAM ALEXANDER III CONSECRAVIT III CAL. OCTOB. 1163.

The works were barely completed when the basilica was consecrated by Alexander III, the third of the calends of October 1163.
